The health and safety of your children and our staff is paramount. Our core values are to provide a consistent and reliable service for parents and a club where children have the power to choose their own fun. We hope to welcome children back for holiday clubs with new operating procedures in place. We will operate differently.
Gov guidance on health and safety measures required on Early Years Settings: “Childcare practitioners do not need PPE. They should care for children as normal, although increasing the frequency of handwashing.”
Children will not be required to wear face coverings and it is not recommended for early years children.
Older children can choose to wear face coverings if they wish or if it is parental preference.
Staff will be provided with PPE including face masks, gloves and aprons if they choose to wear it. This will not be mandatory.
Gov guidance on Health and Safety measures required in Early Years Settings: We know that, unlike older children and adults, early years and primary age children cannot be expected to remain 2 metres apart from each other and staff. In deciding to bring more children back to early years and schools, we are taking this into account. Schools should therefore work through the hierarchy of measures set out:
Families must maintain a 2m distance from others whilst waiting for club to open
Only one parent to drop off or collect the child from the club where possible
Parents cannot enter the building and staff will sign children in and out on the registers
Children will be organised into groups of a maximum of 15 children per day with 2 members of staff dedicated only to that group. Each group will be allocated their zones, including toilet and washing facilities, so they can remain separated from other groups during the day. For inside activities, children will be seated 1m apart from each other. We will make full use of outdoor space to create distance from other groups as far as possible. We will restrict any shared equipment
Children will be taken to wash their hands frequently throughout the day and immediately upon arrival at the club
Hand sanitiser and tissues available in every room and at the club entrances
Limiting the number of children who use the toilet facilities at one time. Toilets will be wiped down after each group has used them
Frequently used surfaces wiped down between every activity
Toilet areas cleaned frequently throughout the day and touchpoints wiped after each use
Equipment cleaned after use. Equipment will be cleaned before use by another group
Thorough clean every day
Soft toys, toys that are difficult to clean and other unnecessary items will be removed from spaces
If a child develops any symptoms of Covid 19 during the day, then they need to be isolated and their parents/carers informed so that they can come and collect them as quickly as possible
Managers will identify a space where the child can be isolated safely and supervised
The member of staff supervising the child will wear PPE and the area will be deep cleaned once the child has been collected
Activities will take place outdoors as much as possible
During the day:
Staff will have received training to ensure they are confident in the new regime
We take the health and safety of your children and our staff extremely seriously
The stringent measures we have put in place for our club, along with the training of staff, and communication for parents makes Rialize a Covid-19 secure operator
